A job going back to 2003. I was asked to lay solid oak flooring throughout a property in London. This involved removing the existing carpet and skirting boards and then priming the existing floorboards with PVA sealer. The new oak floorboards were then glued down. Skirting boards to match the existing were not available 'off the shelf' so these had to be made. See the gallery of photos below.
This is a made-to-measure bookcase with sliding glass doors which I created and painted to the clients particular needs.
This project involved erecting and treating a large expanse of garden fencing and blending the new fence into the existing side fence. I had to use a concrete breaker to dig holes to a depth of 600mm for the fence posts. This was because the new fence was to sit on the remains of the boundary wall below ground level. Hard work but a good end result.
I was asked by a customer of mine if I could do something to hide the new boiler that had just replaced the old one. We decided on a simple cupboard constructed from timber and MDF that they could paint to blend in with the wall.
A good customer of mine approached me about creating a guest bedroom in his office. Keeping the office was crucial as he works from home. He came up with the idea of concealing fold down beds in custom-built wardrobes. The plans and measurements were very detailed; they had to be for everything to work in the space available.
The job was a complete sucess as you can see from the wonderfull pictures he took. He assured me that the grandchildren slept soundly.
